I watched the video with the audio muted. I think you need to do some color grading. Some of the video clips are a bit dark. the lighting looks like the camera needs adjustment or you should shoot in brighter areas. It would have been nice to see a better variety of video angles. When you want the quick cuts the edit got redundant using the same angle clips over and over. The same for the effects. When used sparingly they look great. When used for most of the clips it makes the project look amateurish. The opening piece did not seem to fit with the rest of the video. I would also go for a different wardrobe. You look too suburban and not street. If you focus more on telling a story than just deliver an editing style your video will be improved.
I agree with Kevin you want to do all your post processing at the end. If you have Adobe Light room you can do all the color edits in light room. Light room should have a more nuanced ability to change things then premiere would. I have found that using the GoPro Studio application is a pretty easy way to make time lapses. You might use that just to do a quick test to see if you are liking what you are doing.
You do not state which Flip you have but I am using the Flip Ultra HD 3rd generation and for what it does the video is outstanding. it shoots 720P HD at 60fps. The color is great and ease of use cannot be beat. If it still works why change. At 720P that would work well for many web sites. I have retrofitted mine with macro lenses to be able to get very close to small objects.
Thank you for the kind words Bruce. These little Flip Cameras are pretty cool. They have a lot of limitations but what they do they do very well. Too bad they were discontinued. To me they seem like all they need is a good set of glasses and they ‘SEE’ rather well.
The snails are about my speed in that they move slow enough for me to have time to film them. 🙂
