I use Prism video convertor. It’s a trial verson and then it’s about $25 bucks. Works wonders.
The same issue arose once DTP become accessible to the masses. Now everyone is an editor/publisher, regardless of their experience level or ability. It practically wrecked layout and editing for the learned professional.
Ah, lass. Unfortunately, they’re a bunch of tight-fisted Scottsmen and do not want to spend the money on studio time. They’d rather attempt it themselves first, to see what kind of sound/video quality they can get first, and then post it toour website.Trust me, most of the money goes to uniforms, pipes and travel (not to mention the ocassional wee dram of Scotch).

Another consideration is the individual atheltic video, to be used for recruiting. More than a few talented players need a highlight video of their playing career sent on to colleges in order to snag scholarships. That’s another angle to consider in shooting sports highlights.
Grant writing would seem to be the way to go…It’s just a matter of marrying up the right organizations to fund your film.
