So I am on a very limited budget, I don’t have a set price, but if I find it for the right price I will get it. I don’t “need” an audio recorder, but I want one and I will pay 70 bucks for something used. My question is I’ve seen H1 and H2s (neither the n model) going for under 70 dollars, is the 2 better because it’s a 2 or are they for two different things? I do basic stuff, mostly family shots at the beach. I did an obstacle course for my Army unit, more I wanted to shoot it and they liked some stuff I put online, so now they’d like me to help with some bigger projects that will involve some minor interviews of Soldiers and some historical keeping of events. I have a bunch of GoPros I used and some cheap options like a Nikon 1 J1 that will do what my unit needs, but looking for a better audio solution. I have no problem pulling the trigger on an H1, but if the H2 is better and will fit my needs why not get it instead?

So I ended up going with the H2 and am really impressed, thought it is my first audio recorder. I like that if I have it pointed at the target and I talk behind it the sound is very muffled where the target is very sharp. I might get an H1 down the road to compare and see how it works out for me, but for starting out I think this will do me a lot of good with the 360 sound.

On another note I noticed this forum takes a long time for people to respond, if at all, is this an older forum going through a lull, or is just the nature of this type of forum? I have found a lot of useful info reading through the older posts, but not seeing a lot of engaging recent topics.
