I have 3/4 inch videotapes to convert to digital.
I’m looking for the latest greatest time base corrector.

Last time I tried I heard many insulting comments about the quality of my video.

We haven’t worked with 3/4 inch in many years. However we routinely convert VHS, S-VHS, 8mm and Hi-8 using a Sony Digital-8 camera we picked up on eBay. Play the tape from your deck through the camera to your computer. The camera does an excellent job of digitizing the analog signal. The output from the camera to the computer will be firewire, so you may need an external firewire card.

There are expensive devices that will accomplish the same thing but the camera outputs a good signal and should suffice for most work.
