ParticipantA video script calls for a middle aged woman to step out of a bath and fall on the floor. The director agrees to shoot it in a wide, i.e. distant manner but the actress is reluctant to actual be nude. Is there a way to simulate nudity in such a scene?

ParticipantMost costume houses carry “nude” body stockings. Many of these are quite convincing, especially on a long shot.
Alternatively, careful shooting and editing can go a long way toward creating the illusion of nudity without actually showing a fully nude body. What’s important in selling the sequence is not the nude body but the fact of the fall and the circumstances which lead up to and follow the fall itself. That the sequence begins in the bathtub establishes that the woman is naked.

ParticipantIf you’re not near a specialist centre – try the local ballet equipment shop. Dancers have loads of suitable kit for use under revealing g dance wear.

ParticipantYou can always try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Nude-Body-Suit-Medium-Accessory/dp/B002KV06RO or this https://www.walmart.com/ip/BASIC-UNITARD-ADULT-NUDE-SM-ME/55873497?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227095641590&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=212829344789&wl4=pla-408478355917&wl5=9029683&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=55873497&wl13=&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiA3vfgBRB9EiwAkfpd3A5XR4lXl1vFEY3XmKwgnj3rXhq41JhPdjHZrF7T1s60FdCxzutX0xoCMf0QAvD_BwE You can also consider using different shots like a close up of the foot slipping. Then cut to a long shot where there might be something in the foreground. Best of luck.
