Hello, (first time posting here so plz excuse any mistakes I might make)

I am hoping someone can make a suggestion for a good program to hardcode subtitles into a video file (MP4 format).

I make videos speaking in Portuguese and want to have English subtitles displayed on the screen, with no option to remove them. I am trying to avoid using an .srt file format for the subtitles, as this is laborious/time-consuming. I like the subtitle-adding platform that Youtube uses, but with this method the subtitles are optional and can be turned on/off.

I’ve searched for this type of program/software but haven’t been able to find anything that works for me. Any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
