How wide is too wide

  I’m solely interested in skateboard Photography with no intension of any form of nature of landscape photography. I recently bought a Sony Alpha a7 (full frame ) with a 16-50mm lens ( which I can’t reconnect enough). I was looking into a samyang 8mm lens and I was wondering if that would be too wide for my full frame camera as it would be true 8mm.
