Hello, I’m new to filmmaking, but I was curious, how is done this shot. It’s in new Ed Sheeran’s official video.
That shot is in time 0:20-0:23. They sit on a car and it zooms in and out very fast and smoothly. Is that a very fast optical zoom or some effect? Because I don’t see any transition in it.
Thanks for any answer!
It looks like it was done with a zoom lens and maybe altering the speed of the zoom in the editor, but it also can be done in Premiere Pro by faking a zoom in and zoom out and playing with the speed of the zoom. See 4:17 to 4:30 in this tutorial for an example of creating the effect in Premiere Pro.
