First time poster so excuse any misteps on my part. I am looking for suggestions on a good camcorder primarily for shooting indoor basketball. I am a Canon camera user and was looking at a Canon Vixia HF G40 but it seems like this model might be dated in relation to other models from Panasonic and Sony on the market. (Primarily the lack of 4K in prosumer models.) I have been doing A LOT of research and have read that several of the Sony camcorders with BOSS stabilization have shake when mounted on a tripod so I am avoiding the technology unless someone has some experience to say otherwise. I am not very familiar with Panasonic camcorders but the Panasonic HC-WXF991K or the soon to be released HC-WXF1K looked good but I don’t have much experience with any of these camcorders when shooting sports in low light conditions. I also considered using a camera with upgraded lenses and an Atmos ninja but am not convinced that’s the way to go either. I have a Manfrotto tripod with a Manfrotto fluid pan and tilt head if that’s important. I would prefer to go with something 4K that can shoot sports well under varying low light conditions. (Unfortunately the Canon models start at about $2500 which is a little more than I would like to spend on a camcorder to shoot kids games.) Thanks in advance for allowing me the opportunity to ask this question!!!
