      Hi,

I’m after some advice. I’m no expert with videography (I specialise more in post-production). We are using a Panasonic Lumix GH4 to film some motion footage.

We are finding the results of our filming to be very hit and miss. We have a basic studio, with a green screen, three professional lights, sound proof panels and generally our footage is good quality. However this afternoon (in the UK so getting dark!) the footage is extremely grainy and it’s hard to get good quality focus on the subject (a person). We haven’t changed any settings – first thing this morning the footage was amazing!

So my question is – is the time of day causing a problem? We are relying on artificial lights but even in the mornings the blinds are closed so there isn’t a great deal of natural light.

I’m baffled – in essence great in the morning / not so good in the darker afternoon. No changes made, camera set to manual (auto focus tries to keep refocussing on the subject and changing setting in the menu doesn’t help).

Any advice would be much appreciated!

      Thank you

Best micro four thirds lenses — 2021

MFT, or micro four thirds, is a popular mount style used by many manufacturers in conjunction with the micro 4/3 sensor. It’s good to keep in mind that micro four thirds camera systems use a smaller sensor.
