I have a bunch of .cvc video files I am trying to play. These are pretty old files that used to be played with a player from cVideo. Believe the footage was played using proprietary software called cVideo Player. Does anyone know of any free players that can play .cvc files or convert then to another format, such as .mov or .mp4?
After scouring the web I finally found an archive of the cVideo site and downloaded the demo player executable, but it does not seem to like Windows 7. I tried compatibility mode for XP but it doesn’t want to run. I’ll be trying to emulate XP somehow, but to save myself some headache, does anyone currently have a program they use to play the .cvc files? I was hoping VLC would have a plug-in/codec/add-on for this file type, but so far no luck.
