I own two cameras that I use for shooting video underwater — a Panasonic Lumix TS6 and an older Nikon Coolpix AW100. Both cameras shoot decent video, but both suffer from terrible audio for several minutes after the camera has been submerged. I don’t mind the audio underwater (I just patch the audio with underwater SFX), but when the camera comes up out of the water, the audio stays tinny and weird for quite awhile. I am not looking for a $5,000 solution — more like a $500 solution. I am primarily shooting grandkids in swimming pools and ocean. If anyone knows of any reasonably priced “waterproof” camera that exhibits better audio recovery times, I would appreciate a recommendation. Thanks.
