Earlier this month, Australia hosted the country's first VidCon at the Melbourne Convention And Exhibition Center, and it was a huge success — so successful, in fact, that VidCon Australia has already been confirmed for 2018.

Attendees of Australia’s first VidCon had the chance to see well-known creators like Tyler Oakley and Grace Helbig along with local Australian internet stars, like Ann Reardon.

“It was incredibly exciting to see creators, fans, and the industry from all over the world converge on [Melbourne] to share their passion for online video,” said VidCon’s new CEO, Jim Louderback. “After such a vibrant and positive event, we really had no choice: we just had to commit to running it again in 2018.”

2017 marked the first year that VidCon would expand outside of Southern California and have conferences in both Europe and Australia. On the topic of expanding VidCon globally, Michael and Colin Hickey, VidCon’s COO and managing director, said that “Over the past several years, we have seen tremendous demand to take the VidCon experience overseas, and we are excited to give European and Australian fans and creators the opportunity to take part in what has become such a special experience.”

Though we know that there will be a VidCon Australia 2018, it hasn’t been confirmed yet if there will be a VidCon Europe 2018.

Dates and details about VidCon Australia 2018 will be released in the coming months. As for VicCon US, it will return to Anaheim next summer from June 20 to 23 and tickets for the event are on sale now.
