You have to use soft lighting, especially with the HD. Kino-Flo’s are a must! Lots of silks if you are using HMI’s. I’m not a fan of lowel kits. They can do ok and I have definitely used them in a pinch or on a budget but Kino’s are so cheap to rent now. Check out… http://www.budgetvideo.com
