When I convert video to flash, the flash file size is generally about 50% of the size of the equivalent .wmv video file.
For example, the video at my flash video example is a minute long, and requires 2 meg.
If I chose a smaller display format, the file size could be much smaller.
I used WildForm Flix to do the conversion. You can download a trial copy at their site and see how easy it is to use.
When you do the conversions, the settings for video frame rate, smoothing, video screen size, and audio quality impact the final video size (and quality).
You can use the presets in wildform flix to get started, then fine tune until you get a good size/quality compromise.
