The movie still skips but

The movie still skips but not as much. Also, I’ve noticed that I can’t get the skip/stutter to occur at the same point in time. When I watch the DVD MPEG-2 file on my software DVD player (read from the hard drive), it doesn’t skip at all, so I’m starting to think the problem’s with either my DVD-RW drive or the blank media. (The problem arises regardless of whether I burn the video to Maxell DVD-RW or generic HQ DVD-R. I’ll pick up some brand-name DVD-R on the way home, like Memorex, Sony, TDK, etc.
