“The indie filmmaker’s workhorse. I’ve got a set of those too. One stand-up pair and one floor. They do a good job, but they are rough on talent even when using diffusing material. Plus they get ridiculously hot (same as the Tota light which is a Halogen w/o the glass shielding).”
Amazing what you can accomplish with these if you make some light modifiers from coffee cans, bbq paint and heat resistant diffusing material (like fiber glass or furnace filters)….
