Red frames are dropouts. These are usually caused by either inferior or damaged tape or dust and dirt on the tape heads.

Solution is simple.

#1: always use high quality tape

#2: clean the tape heads before use

Acquiring stock media and editing it into your project is very often faster, cheaper and much more convenient than creating that media yourself.
