Paul, I have the same exact issue. I just switched over from Avid to Premier CS3 with a Matrox Axio “super system”…hahahah. I was filming on a hunt and the cards were full so we hooked up the lap top and moved the clips to an external hard drive. Now they are MP4’s and I cannot get the Clip Browser or Premier to accept them. Matrox tells me it will be two months before they can work with MP4. If you use sonys clip browser and the clips load up…immediately export them a MFX files. This allows Premier to work with HD 1080I. I am searching the globe right now looking for answers. If I find them you will hear it.
