On this thread, video in Flash, do yourself a favor and buy Sorenson Squeeze. You can create almost any video format from any other format. You can create FLV files which are proprietary Flash video files. Flash MX Pro comes with pre-built media players that you can just drage to the screen, type the name of your FLV file and publish, to create a Flash and HTML file to post straight to web.
Sorenson Squeeze has alot of editing capabilities as far as compression goes, but I’ve been using the standard ones and it’s been working pretty well. I can take an uncompressed 1.3GB video file and create a 2MB FLV. Here are some samples:
