not sure where you got your GS 400 but if it doesn’t have a Firewire port on it you better take it back.. Check out http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=319788&is=REG&addedTroughType=search for more information on the 400 and you can see that it has a 4pin firewire port on it for capture. Let me know if your camera really doesn’t have this.
