Not necessarily for example, making a scene look like it was shot in the same hour but really over several months might use sleight of hand editing to cover up differences (like a prop is different, he was holding the cup in the wrong hand so we get rid of all of those shots).
On the other hand documentary’s aim to be as objective as possible. Make sense?
