I just deleted Adobe Story. The desktop application demanded upgrading ($24.99 per year). While I could access my old stuff online, I lost the scripts I was working on just the other day. So, I converted my old scripts to plain text, saved them to my hard drive and kissed Story good-bye.
I never really felt comfortable putting my stuff online anyway.
In your case, perhaps if you save your work, close your browser and restart Story, it’ll work…
