I got it. Its a combination of selecting a region and turning on ‘Auto Ripple’ (Ctrl + L) then dragging the Left-Most clip in the region. Doing this it will move all the “region’d” clips left or right. Also, if you have a big part of the timeline that you want deleted, do the same as above except region the empty area, turn on ‘Auto Ripple’ then hit the ‘Delete’ key. I turn off ‘Auto Ripple’ right after I perform either of these tasks.
