I finally figured out where the greenish tinge comes from. If I focus on a yellow object, there is no color at all which means one of the chips is definitely bad. Hank, thanks for checking that Sony qualifier for me. I guess I better call Sony back and determine if this repair really is free or if there is a catch. Does anyone want to trade places with me? I wish the seller was a real jerk so I could really go after her but she seems like a nice person. She said she never used the camera very much. Is it possible that this camera was bad from day one and she never noticed it? Color me gullible.
