Thanks for the advice. I downloaded the AVS trial version and it works fine, but the trial version has a "watermark" on output.

It is a small project, but if I can’t find a freeware that will do the same thing, I’ll get the full AVS version.

Anyone out there know of a freeware version to comnvert .dv to .mpeg?
