From what I have been able to figure out from reading about the GL2 (waiting for mine to arrive) is that the Movie Frame mode is 30 fps progressive. Not 24 fps progressive, but 30fps. This should produce a very smooth and high quality picture on HDTV, even with relatively fast moving subjects.

From what I can see, unless you are going to be transferring to film, the 30fps is going to be better anyway. I have never liked the look of 24fps on video because of the issues with 3:2 pulldown. While saturation should be (technically) better at 24fps, I really don’t know that you would be able to tell the difference.

Anyway, hope this helps clear this up.
