As you know, a trademark attorney can make the search and process much simpler, if not MORE expensive. That being said. Somewhile back I did a Google search on Trademark Registration and found a HOST of information, including the actual government site chock full of trademark yada, yada. I made an attempt to do it myself once, dropped the money – $300, or so, or something like that at the time, dunno what it is today, what with our government bailing out all the big boys – but I did not do something right, they don’t explain what, not really, and lost my money (non-refundable) in the process.
