32-bit and 64-bit go by their own specific “processing patterns” (64 will generally provides better speed and bandwidth). If a software package is designed for 32-bit, then the hard code of the program is specific for running on a 32-bit system. As far as I know, there is no workaround other than purchasing the 64-bit system version and selling the other one.
