Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will house an insane 120x hybrid zoom

Xiaomi is adding a new smartphone to its Mi 10 lineup. The new addition is called the Mi 10 Ultra and it’s coming with very impressive specs, namely a 120x hybrid zoom.

Earlier in the year, Xiaomi revealed the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. These two phones made up the Mi 10 lineup. Now, with the Mi 10 Ultra, the line will include three phones. The announcement comes around the company’s 10th anniversary and it’s a big celebration taking a look at the phone’s specs.

120x hybrid zoom, 8K video recording

The Mi 10 Pro features a 108 megapixel camera with 50x hybrid zoom and 8K capture mode. That’s already impressive for a smartphone camera. However, the Mi 10 Ultra comes in with a 48 megapixel periscopic telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, 120x hybrid zoom and 8K video capture. That matches the zoom found on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Also, the Mi 10 Ultra features a 8 megapixel main camera, 20 megapixel ultra-wide camera (128-degree field of view) and 12 megapixel portrait camera.

Display and charging

As for the phone’s display, the Ultra has a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 800-nit brightness, 10-bit color depth and curved edges. To ensure color accuracy, Xiaomi says each panel is individually calibrated and the display has a 120HZ refresh rate.

The Ultra comes with a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery. The battery in camera than the variation that comes with the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. However, it does offer better wireless charging. The Mi 10 and Pro offer 30W wireless charging while the Mi 10 Ultra offers 50W wireless charging (120W wired charging).

Pricing and availability

Pricing for the phone will start at about $760 for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For the most expensive option, it will cost about $1,010 for 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
