Vimeo has launched Vimeo Events, a new platform for producing and promoting live video experiences. According to Vimeo, you can use it for any event, from webinars and product launches up to large-scale virtual events.

Virtual events

Vimeo Events enhances the Vimeo platform with everything you need to deliver a virtual event without the need for a dedicated production team to support you. The tools include powerful webinar functionality and an intuitive live production studio. In addition, there are effective tools to engage your audience, such as a centralized hub to manage viewer registrations. There are also options to analyze viewer statistics and to edit content post-event.

Browser-based tools

With the DIY Live Production Studio you can use browser-based broadcast tools to produce your event. You can pre-record content, stage in-event videos and stream your event live. There are also rehearsal and backstage management tools. These allow you to prepare your speakers and guest presenters so they are ready when you need them to go live.

The audience registration tools within Vimeo Events integrate with popular marketing platforms such as Marketo, Mailchimp, Hubspot and Constant Contact. These tools include customizable registration forms for your event. You can also send automated reminder emails to ensure your audience tunes in.

Audience engagement

You can further engage with your audience through the use of custom graphics and branding, moderated chat, polls and Q&A. In addition, Vimeo Events delivers high-quality video to your viewers through any web browser. Your audience doesn’t need to download or install any additional software to join your event.

You can measure your event’s performance with post-event and viewer-level analytics. The data from these tools can help you plan and market your future events.

Vimeo Events also allows you to save your event after it has finished. With Vimeo’s editing, hosting, distribution and management tools, you can use the recordings from your event to further promote and advertise your content.

The new platform is included as part of Vimeo’s existing pricing plans and is available from today.
