Insta360 has launched its new Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker as an add-on for the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI-powered gimbal. The new tracker enables wider support across Android phone models and an extended range of apps for the gimbal.
Flow 2 Pro gimbal
When Insta360 launched the Flow 2 Pro gimbal, the company claimed it was the best gimbal for iPhone. It offers three-axis stabilization across the roll, tilt and pan axes. There is also a Free Tilt Mode, so you can keep the same angle as your phone moves up and down.
The gimbal’s 360º Infinite Pan Tracking allows it to track subjects continuously, even as they move around. Other features include a teleprompter, as well as Apple Watch control and Apple DockKit support.
Smarter tracking
The tracker works across both iPhone and Android. It means you can track your movements in video calls, livestreams and online meetings. With its advanced AI recognition, the AI Tracker also keeps you perfectly framed in tricky environments.
In addition, it can handle obstructions like someone walking in front of your shot, intelligently remembering your subject to keep them in frame. The AI Tracker can even track dogs and cats too.
Other features
With the new Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker, you don’t need a remote control. It features gesture control, so you can simply make a palm gesture to activate tracking. The AI Tracker also has a built-in spotlight for shooting in dim lighting. This offers three brightness settings and three color temperature settings, so you can match the ambient light whether you are indoors or outside.
What we think
Insta360’s Flow 2 Pro gimbal is a great way to get super smooth footage with a smartphone. However, out of the box, there were limitations on which mobile devices and which apps you could use. Now, with the release of the AI Tracker, you can use any iOS or Android app with no software restrictions. With gesture control, it’s even easier to get great footage as a content creator and solo shooter. The built-in light is also a nice bonus. If you shoot video on a smartphone, the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro gimbal and AI Tracker could be a great addition to your kit bag.

The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker is available now and costs $39. Insta360 is also going to launch the AI Tracker in a bundle with the Flow 2 Pro gimbal for $179.
