GODOX has launched a new daylight balanced video light, the GODOX Litemons LE200D. It’s a powerful and color-accurate monolight that aims to not break the bank with its budget-friendly pricing.
All-in-one design
On the first things you notice about the GODOX Litemons LE200D LED video light is its all-in-one design. Thanks to its integrated power supply, there is just a single mains cable going into the light. This means that you also don’t need to worry about what to do with a bulky external adaptor. The body of the LE200D measures 10.31 inches (262 mm) by 9.41 inches (239 mm) by 6.22 inches (158 mm) without the included reflector. The light weighs 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg).
Daylight only
The video light is a daylight-balanced only COB LED light with a fixed 5,600 K color temperate. However, the 220 W fixture still packs a punch with its premium LED chips. These can deliver up to 63,500 lux at 3.3 feet (1 meter) when you use the reflector. The LE200D also produces broad, even light with a high color accuracy CRI of 96 and TLCI of 97. Additionally, you can dim the output from 100-0%. The GODOX Litemons LE200D LED video light supports standard Bowens mount modifiers as well as its own reflector.
Control
The GODOX Litemons LE200D LED video light has built-in controls on the back along with a display screen so you can quickly see your chosen settings. Alternatively, the light supports wired DMX and CRMX integration via TimoLink RX. You can also use wireless Bluetooth control via the GODOX Light app. The LE200D offers one-tap NFC pairing with your smartphone and dedicated Bluetooth reset button as well. In addition, the light features seven customizable special lighting effects.
Cooling
GODOX’s Litemons LE200D LED video light features a sturdy all-metal body. It does have active cooling, but GODOX says that the fan is ultra-quiet. You can also choose between different fan settings to control any fan noise when you are filming. When you need total silence on set, there’s a fan off option.
