If you are unsure about the lens or if you should act, we’ll go over what the lens’ specs are and what it has to offer. Let’s get into it:
45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary overview
The 45mm F2.8 lens is designed for full-frame cameras and is an interchangeable lens. Sigma claims you benefit from using this lens because it benefits from its short focal length while still retaining the concepts of “Contemporary.”
“Compact size is realized while maintaining high image quality and is compatible with full-frame mirrorless cameras. This prime lens refines the concept of the Contemporary line,” says Sigma.
Bokeh
According to Sigma, spherical aberration has been controlled to ensure not just the large bokeh in the front and rear of the subject creates a gradient to a soft blur. The rear bokeh will also have a gradient to a soft blur. Additionally, the lens softens the periphery of blurred images, suppressing the double-line bokeh.
“While this lens produces smooth bokeh effects of which one could say as “classical expression” when the aperture is wide open, it also realizes modern sharp rendering when it is stopped down. It is reassuring to hold this lens as the regular lens for everyday use,” says Sigma.
Autofocus
The 45mm F2.8 lens supports both Face/Eye Detection AF and video AF. Additionally, according to Sigma, the lens is capable of “smooth, quiet and high-speed” AF.
