Rokinon, known for making some of the best cine lenses, is making additions to its new CINE DSX lens series. Plus, there’s a slew of new features that make these lenses quite promising.
The new CINE DSX series will include a rounded nine-blade aperture and be weather sealed. In terms of its mount compatibility, the line will be available in Canon EF, RF, M, Fujifilm X, MFT, Nikon F, and Sony E mounts. The lens will be offered in focal lengths of 24 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, and 85 mm. They additionally will offer full-frame coverage with a “fast” T1.5 aperture, according to Rokinon.

What is new with the CINE DSX lens line?
As we mentioned above, this lens line will feature rounded nine-blade aperture. This should allow these lenses to deliver “even smoother circular bokeh,” Rokinon says. Additionally, the CINE DSX lens has a weather-sealed lens mount to protect the most vulnerable gap between the lens and camera mount. Also, “enhanced” lens markings with focal lengths are visible from the sides of the lens. So it should be easier to utilize the lens markings. The focusing and aperture gears have been made to be smoother to the touch for more comfort when pulling the focus by hand.

Pricing and availability
The CINE DSX will be available in October in focal lengths of 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. As we said, they will be available in Canon EF, RF, M, Fujifilm X, MFT, Nikon F, and Sony E mounts.
