RØDE launches NTH-50 professional on-ear headphones

RØDE has launched its latest professional on-ear headphones. The NTH-50 headphones are designed for sound engineers and creators, delivering high-quality audio at a reasonable price.

Innovative acoustic design

The RØDE NTH-50 headphones feature a custom-built 40mm dynamic driver. This is housed in an acoustic array that features a revolutionary resonant chamber. As a result, RØDE says the NTH-50s deliver beautifully rich, rounded bass with ultra-low distortion. The headphones also preserve balanced clarity within the higher frequency ranges. In addition, RØDE says the headphones have superior passive noise isolation, which makes them ideal for critical monitoring.

Audio performance

RØDE says that the NTH-50 headphones deliver detailed and natural audio that’s ideal for monitoring, mixing, or mastering. They also offer a high SPL and natural stereo image for immersive and unrivaled tonal depth. In addition, RØDE says that the NTH-50s feature best-in-class passive noise isolation at -21 dBA. This means that you can focus on your audio when it matters most.

Unrivalled comfort

The NTH-50 headphones feature an adjustable, contoured headband with an integrated fontanel recess. RØDE says that this design alleviates pressure on the top of the head to reduce fatigue during extended creative sessions. The NTH-50s also have soft memory foam cushions to conform to your ears, along with an ergonomic earcup structure. In addition, the headphones are lightweight at under 7.8 ounces (220g).

Build

The RØDE NTH-50 headphones feature premium aluminum faceplates, built to withstand the rigors of daily professional use. They also use a modular design so that you can replace the headband, ear cushions, and cables for maximum longevity. Nice touches include dual-sided cable attachments and color-coded earcup identifiers. In addition, for extra peace of mind, the NTH-50s are backed by RØDE’s lifetime warranty.

What we think

The RØDE NTH-50 headphones deliver high-quality audio at an affordable price. They are also designed for comfort, which is important when you are monitoring audio on set or in the studio for extended periods. In addition, it’s great to see that you can replace the cables and ear cushions to extend the life of your headphones as needed. If you are looking to get headphones for use while filming or in post-production, the RØDE NTH-50 headphones are an ideal choice.

Availability

The RØDE NTH-50 headphones are available now for only $99. They come with a premium 1.7m double-coiled monitoring cable, storage pouch, and a 3.5mm to ¼-inch adapter. In addition, RØDE includes color-coded ID rings for easy cable management.
