Riverside, the online podcast and video studio, has been updated with two new artificial intelligence-powered features. The first of these is Magic Clips which uses AI to select the best parts of your podcasts for sharing on social media. In addition, the new AI Transcriptions feature quickly transcribes your recording so you can text search the content or create captions.
What is Riverside?
Riverside is a virtual studio for podcasts and videos that gives you very high-quality recordings. It does this by using local recordings for all of the participants in the podcasts. This means that the recordings are unaffected by restricted bandwidth or drops outs. The recordings can also be very high quality, with video up to 4K resolution and uncompressed 48 Hz audio. In addition, everyone’s recordings are continuously uploaded to the cloud during the recording. This means they are ready for you to work with when the podcast session finishes. You have much more control in post-production when you work with separate audio and video tracks for each participant as well.
Magic Clips
The Magic Clips feature uses AI to create short-form or highlight reels for social media from your podcasts and recordings. To use the new feature, you click the Magic Clips button once your recording has finished. The AI then identifies the key moments in your recording and selects them as standalone clips. It also optimizes them for your social media platforms. In addition, you can trim the selected clips, add your branding or choose more clips as you need.
AI Transcriptions
Riverside’s AI Transcriptions feature uses artificial intelligence to transcribe your audio and video recordings in seconds. The feature supports more than 100 languages and works with file formats, including MP3, WAV, MP4 and MOV. The company also claims 99% accuracy for the transcriptions. Once your video has been transcribed, you can then use a text search to find specific parts of your video or to add captions. In addition, you can use Riverside’s text-based editor to cut your video and audio by editing the text transcript.
