Nikon’s “Follow Your Passion” video contest to offer $25,000 grand prize

Looking to upgrade your video gear? Nikon’s holding a “Follow Your Passion” video contest and the top prize will for sure allow you to get some new gear.

The “Follow Your Passion” video contest is going on right now and is offering a grand prize of $25,000. But that’s not all. The winner will also receive a Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s Kit. That’s a super value in itself, but along with $25,000 in prize money, the top prize is unbeatable.

How to enter?

Anyone in the US and 18 or older can enter the “Follow Your Passion” contest. The catch is that you have to use a Nikon Z series mirrorless camera with a NIKKOR lens for your project. So, that means you either need to use a Nikon Z 6 or Z 7. Also, the video’s length needs to fall in between 3 to 5 minutes. You can read the full list of rules at followyourpassion.com/rules.

The contest has was first kicked off May 15th, so it’s already been going on for about a month and a half now. However, you have until October 31st to submit an entry. So there’s still plenty of time to participate.

When submitting, you need include an unedited still image taken during filming as proof you shot with a Nikon Z 6 or Z 7 and a NIKKOR lens. After your video is shot and edited, you can post it on YouTube or Vimeo. You can enter at followyourpassion.com.

Get to the prizes!

Now, while there is a grand prize, two other winners will receive prizes as well. There will be three prize tiers: the grand prize, first place and second place. As said previously, the grand prize winner will be awarded $25,000 and a Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s Kit. The first place winner will win $10,000 cash and a Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s Kit. The second place winner will receive only a Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s Kit.

Where can you submit?

To submit, go to followyourpassion.com. There you will be able to log into YouTube or Vimeo and enter that way. The contest ends on October 31, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. ET and the winners will be announced December 31, 2019, on the contest’s website.
