NAB 2026: Atomos Sumo PRO-19 wins Best Video Recorder

Congratulations to Atomos; the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 is taking home Videomaker’s Best Video Recorder award at NAB 2026.

Just released, the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 4K HDR monitor-recorder-switcher targets cinematic productions. With a large, color-accurate display and enhanced wireless connectivity, the Sumo PRO-19 feels at home in a video village.

Meet the Atomos Sumo PRO-19

The next evolution of the Sumo 19SE, the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 offers the same familiar functionality. However, it adds support for CFexpress, camera control and network connectivity. The addition of NDI and camera to cloud workflow support is a big bonus for producers working in distributed post-production workflows.

Atomos bills the Sumo PRO-19 as a central hub for collaboration: “Sumo PRO-19 is engineered to meet the exacting standards of directors, cinematographers, DITs, and video assist teams who demand uncompromising image fidelity and dependable multi-camera monitoring on set.”

Suitable for on-set review and monitoring or live switching and routing, the Sumo PRO-19 can record ProRes RAW at resolutions up to 8Kp30. It will also capture UHD or DCI 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. Simultaneous proxy recording is available, as well. This option does a lot to streamline the post-production workflow if your editing system can’t keep up with the larger video resolutions.

Featuring a large 19-inch 10-bit 4K display and 1200 nit brightness, the Sumo PRO-19  reproduces 100% of the Rec.709 color space and 99% of DCI-P3. For ultimate color accuracy, it also supports professional Calibrite calibration via the Atomos Calibrator app and cable (not included).

Enhanced control

Along with NDI support and wireless connectivity, the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 adds remote camera control, including start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, white balance and touch focus. Of course, it comes outfitted with the expected monitoring tools, including false color as well as LUT and HDR support. Outside, the Sumo PRO-19 features an aluminium chassis that offers protection without weighing down your kit. The new Sumo even features a built-in handle and removable feet for convenient transport and easy setup.

The Sumo PRO-19 records USB-C drive or CFexpress Type B cards. It also supports camera-to-cloud and NDI HX3 workflows and offers wi-fi connectivity and wireless timecode.
