Congratulations to ASUS; the ASUS ProArt Cinema PQ09 monitor is taking home Videomaker’s Best Monitor award at NAB 2025 in Las Vegas.
The PQ09 features a 162-inch screen with a 0.93 mm pixel pitch, which ASUS says produces smoother images than the 1.2 or 1.5 mm pitch found on many conventional microLED panels. Whether you’re watching a movie or showcasing video content in a studio, the PQ09 promises both rich color and sharp detail.
Vibrant and detailed picture
One of the key features we love about the ASUS ProArt Cinema PQ09 is its 4K HDR support. This display is built with an ultrasmall pixel pitch for improved clarity, while a reported 97% DCI-P3 color gamut aims to ensure accurate, vivid hues across the board.
ASUS states that it can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, adding more punch to highlights and deeper contrast. In bright or dark environments, the PQ09’s 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio is meant to help preserve nuanced shadow detail and crisp highlights.
MicroLED technology for big screens
MicroLED displays are known for high contrast and longevity, and the ASUS ProArt Cinema PQ09 uses these advantages for large-format use. The 162-inch size may suit home theater enthusiasts or production teams that need an expansive viewing surface. Because each pixel emits its own light, the PQ09 can maintain consistent brightness and color from corner to corner. ASUS also suggests that its ultrasmall pixel pitch enhances text and on-screen graphics, which could be useful in professional settings.
