The MOLUS G60 is a 60-watt COB light that’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Outputting nearly 2,400 lux, this tiny light weighs only 200 grams. Despite that, it’s able to sustain a consistent 60-watt output thanks to its efficient cooling system.
Output and light quality
Zhiyun-Tech promises light output of 2376 lux from the light alone and 1,1194 lux when paired with the Zhiyun Mini Reflector. Testing was performed with a one-meter test distance with the light set to 6,500 K and 100 percent brightness.
Suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor use cases, the MOLUS G60 offers an adjustable color temperature range of 2,700 K to 6,500 K. It boasts a CRI rating of 96 and a TLCI rating of 97, ensuring accuracy in the light’s color rendition.
Keeping things cool
Key to the performance of the Zhiyun-Tech MOLUS G60 is its DynaVort Cooling System, which uses an innovative design to prevent overheating.
Usability
Beyond its small size, the MOLUS G60 offers several other features that make it easy to set up and use. For example, color temperature and brightness are controlled via two large dials on the back of the light. Above these is a display panel for monitoring settings and input power.
In addition to the physical controls on the light itself, adjustments can also be made via an app on a Bluetooth-connected smart device.
The light also features both ZY and Bowens mounting options, giving the light even more flexibility. Power options for the MOLUS G60 include a DC adapter and 100W PD Type-C fast charging power bank.
