Congratulations to Nanlite; we’re happy to award Videomaker’s Best Tube Light award at NAB 2022 to Nanlite for the PavoTube T8-7X.
There’s a lot to like about the PavoTube T8-7X. The tube is thinner than most LEDS, easy to use and can create some pretty neat effects. For these reasons and more, Nanlite is deserving of snagging our best tube light award.
Thinner than most LEDs
According to Nanlite, the PavoTube T8-7X is 50 percent lighter than most LEDs tube lights you’ll find on the market. Plus, it features a compact design, allowing it to fit into tight spaces.
Color accuracy
The light features a CRI of 96 and TLCI of 97 accuracies, plus bicolor CCT, RGB, dimming and effects. These effects include the same animated pixel effects found in the PavoTube II X-Series, such as Rainbow and Driving — which mimics the look of cars passing by when in a vehicle.
Flexible mounting options
Thanks to the light’s 1/4 20 socket, you can mount the light to tripods and other gear. You can also attach it to an LSFL floor stand or an Eyebolt. Alternatively, you can also hold the light as well. It features a handy handgrip.
Easy-to-use design
In total, the PavoTube T8-7X has just three buttons, making operation simple for all skill levels. For those that want deeper control, they can use the NANLINK app.
Battery
The PavoTube T8-7X features a built-in battery that lasts for one hour at 100 percent brightness. Also, if you turn down the light to 20 percent brightness, the light can last up to 3.5 hours. Additionally, the light’s USB-C port lets you use external batteries.
Pricing and availability
The Nanlite PavoTube T8-7X will release sometime around 5/6/22 with a price tag of $99.
