MASV announces updates that redefine large file transfers

At IBC 2025, MASV announced updates that redefine what a modern large file transfer and orchestration platform should deliver. The new features improve speed, reliability, security and ease of use so that customers and partners can move and monetize their content with greater efficiency and control.

What is MASV?

MASV is a cloud-based large file transfer platform. It’s designed to orchestrate and secure file movement around the world for cloud-based, on-premises and hybrid workflows. MASV was also named an IDC Innovator in the IDC Innovators: Media and Entertainment, 2025 report. This recognised the platform’s impact on modern media workflows across multiple industries, from post-production and live broadcast to creative agencies, AI, geospatial and healthcare.

MASV Express with Storage Gateway

The latest MASV product updates increase your workflow efficiency and give you faster access to your data. MASV Express transfers files while the upload is still in progress. This delivers near real-time availability of individual files and minimizes the wait time on transfer completion. At IBC, MASV is also previewing new Express features, including support by the MASV Desktop App and MASV Agent and the ability to deliver to on-premises and cloud-based storage devices such as Amazon EBS and FSx.

Now, you can now take advantage of zipless downloads for a faster, more flexible user experience, which preserves folder structures.

MASV Automation

MASV’s new management and automation tools streamline your workflows while providing greater reliability and control. They include smart, automated routing with custom metadata. As a result, you can dynamically route transfers to one or more destinations using metadata collected in a MASV Portal’s Custom Form. This also eliminates the need for manual file movement post-transfer.

MASV Ecosystem

MASV’s API-first architecture means that you can integrate MASV quickly and easily. You can now ingest, transfer, and offload files directly from the applications you already use. This saves time by integrating large file transfers seamlessly into your existing creative workflows. Administrators for Enterprise customers can also create and manage their own API keys, without needing to involve the team owner for every request. In addition, MASV has upcoming integrations with FilmLight, The Rebel Fleet, SGO, Iconik, OWC, Qumulo and Imagine Products.

MASV Secure

MASV is setting a new standard for security and compliance with enhanced monitoring and access controls. You will have more flexibility when managing access to your Amazon S3 storage. This includes the option to choose between IAM role-based or key-based access methods. The introduction of the Package Activity Feed also means that team owners and admins can now monitor all package activity in one central location.

Also, admins can now require users to authenticate with SSO/SAML before accessing a MASV download link, providing a new layer of user access control.

What we think

As the creative world increasingly moves to cloud-based ways of working, the need to move and share content securely and quickly becomes ever more important. MASV is an ideal solution for creators and enterprise customers using cloud and hybrid workflows. It delivers speed and reliability while also being simple to use and easy to integrate with your existing systems. MASV is aimed at larger organizations and priced accordingly. However, you can also take advantage of its Starter access, which is free and gives you up to 15GB of transfers.

Availability

MASV will be demonstrating the platform’s new features and updates at IBC 2025 on Stand 1.B01.
