Today, Lexar has announced its Lexar Professional SL100 Pro Portable SSD. This SSD is said to be the world’s fastest 1TB SSD with USB 3.1 Type-C Port.

Power
Lexar claims the SSD is bursting with power. The SL100 Pro can offer speeds up to 950 MB/s read and 900 MB/s write. That is 2x faster than the previous SL100. Additionally, the SSD features a USB Type-C port that should speed up storing and sharing content with USB 3.1 speeds.

Built small and slim with aluminum, Lexar’s Professional SL 100 Pro Portable 1TB SSD should be both durable and easy to carry around in your pocket. It’s both drop-, shock-, and vibration-resistant too.

Pricing and availability
The Lexar Professional SL100 Pro Portable SSD will be out this month for $99 for the 250 GB version. As for the 500 GB and 1 TB, they will cost $149 and $279.
