This week at CES 2024, Lexar is displaying a slew of new storage solutions. That includes new SD cards, internal and external SSDs and an award-winning CFexpress card. Amongst all of these new offerings is the Lexar ARMOR 700 Portable SSD.
Lexar ARMOR 700 Portable SSD delivers tough package, high speeds
With capacities ranging from 1 to 4 TB, the selling point for the ARMOR 700 is its durable exterior. The drive is dust and water-resistant with an IP66 rating. It can also withstand drops from up to 3 meters.
According to Lexar’s internal testing, the ARMOR 700 Portable SSD offers read and write speeds up to 2000 MB/s when paired with a device that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2. Lexar does specify that performance may be lower depending on the host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors.

Other offerings
Along with the ARMOR 700, Lexar is also showing the new Professional CFexpress 4.0 Type A Card GOLD Series and the Professional GOLD microSD UHS-II Card. If you pay a visit to Lexar’s booth, you’ll also find the the Professional NM1090 M.2 PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD with Heatsink and the NM800 PRO M.2 2280 NVMe SSD with capacities up to 8 TB. Lexar is also debuting the PLAY M.2 2230 PCIe 4.0 SSD for handheld consoles and mobile gaming computers.
Finally, Lexar’s new Professional CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card DIAMOND Series won Videomaker’s Best storage of CES 2024.
