Thanks to the same leakers who leaked the HERO 9 Black last year, WinFuture, we now know everything about the upcoming GoPro HERO 10 Black.
From the looks of it, the GoPro HERO 10 Black doesn’t change too much from the HERO 9 Black. However, it does feature a more powerful processor — which will boost the camera’s overall performance.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what WinFuture was able to find. Remember, this is all unconfirmed, so while WinFuture correctly predicted the HERO 9 Black’s design last year, that doesn’t mean these leaks are confirmed. We won’t entirely know until GoPro announces the camera.
Improved performance to video and photo shooting
According to the leak, we can expect a boost in video quality. The leak claims the HERO 10 Black will support 5.3K videos shot at 60fps and 4K video at 120fps. For comparison, the HERO 9 Black shots 5K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps. With these spec improvements, the GoPro HERO 10 Black should record video at a smoother frame rate.
WinFuture also claims the camera’s new image sensor will increase the photo resolutions by 3 megapixels (20 megapixels to 23 megapixels).
Other leaks
The leak also suggests we’ll see an update to HyperSmooth 4.0 and TimeWarp 3.0 — GoPro’s signature software for time-lapse videos.
The rest of the reveal suggests the new camera will include features we already had with the HERO 9 Black. The camera will support touch and voice control and will have a front and rear display. Additionally, it will be waterproof up to 10 meters with its water housing.
When can we expect the GoPro HERO 10 Black to release?
At this time, there’s no target release date nor a price. If we consider how much the GoPro HERO 9 Black cost at release — $449 — the HERO 10 Black may release at a similar price. We expect more information about the camera coming in the next month or so, so stay tuned.
