Introducing the Forza 150 — Nanlite’s latest LED light

Nanlite has released the latest addition to their lighting range with the Forza 150 LED light.

High output

The Nanlite Forza 150 has a small form factor and weighs just 3 pounds. However, it still manages a powerful output of 27960 Lux with the included reflector when measured at 1 meter. It’s a daylight-balanced fixture with a CCT of 5600K. Color fidelity is excellent, with a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 98.

Dimmable

The Nanlite Forza 150 is fully dimmable from 0-100%. It also offers eleven built-in lighting effects: INT loop, flash, pulse, storm, TV, paparazzi, candle or fire, disco, bad bulb, explosion and welding. These effects are tunable, so you can get just the look you want.

Bluetooth control

You can control the Nanlite Forza 150 remotely over Bluetooth via the Nanlink app. Alternatively, you can controll the light over a 2.4 GHz wireless link with the Nanlink Box. The Nanlite Forza 150 also has a 3.5 mm socket for DMX and RDM for even greater control. An optional cable is available as well, which adapts the 3.5 mm socket to standard 5-pin dual XLR connectors for connection to a DMX console

Cooling fan

As with many LED COB lights, the Forza 150 does have a fan. However, Nanlite claims the advanced active cooling system won’t impact your audio with fan noise. The Nanlite Forza also 150 has an L-shaped mount bracket for attaching it to a light stand.

The all-in-one design of the Nanlite Forza 150 integrates the lamp head and control unit together. This makes make the light easier and quicker to set up. The light also has a separate AC power adapter and a 4.5-meter power cable. Also, it offers a power draw of 170 watts.

Bowens mount

The Nanlite Forza 150 comes in a smart carrying case that looks very similar to the offerings from Aputure. It also comes with a Bowens mount adapter.

Accessories

In addition to the AC adapter, you can power the Nanlite Forza 150 with a V-mount battery. Nanlite offers a V-mount battery grip to make the light easier to hold while on the move. Other accessories include two softboxes, a Fresnel lens with barn doors and a projection lens attachment.

Pricing and availability

The Nanlite Forza 150 retails for $499 and is available now.
