Godox has added three COB (chip on board) full-color LED lights to its Litemons range. The LE200R, LE300R and LE600R all pack the power supply into the fixture, so there’s no brick dangling off the stand.
All-in-one design
One mains cable runs to the lamp head. That’s the whole setup. The LE200R and LE300R share a body measuring 6.2 by 9.4 by 10.3 inches (158 by 239 by 262 mm), and both weigh 6.2 pounds (2.8 kg). The LE600R is a different animal at 10.7 by 11.1 by 15.6 inches (272 by 282 by 397 mm). At 11.5 pounds (5.2 kg), it nearly doubles the weight of its smaller siblings.
Full color
All three fixtures hit a CRI of 96 with a TLCI of 95. The CCT range runs from 1,800 K to 10,000 K with +/-100 G/M (green/magenta) adjustment. HSI, RGBW and GEL modes come standard, plus 14 FX presets. Those cover the usual suspects: broken bulb, TV, candle, fire, fireworks, explosion and cop car.
Output
At 5600K with the included BR30 reflector, the 230W LE200R puts out 6,710 lux at roughly 10 feet (3 meters). The 330W LE300R manages 9,020 lux at the same distance. The 635W LE600R tops out at 11,900 lux. Dimming runs 0% to 100% across four curves: linear, S-curve, exponential and logarithmic.
Controls
A color screen and control dial sit on the back of each fixture. For remote work, the Godox Light app connects over Bluetooth from nearly 100 feet (90 meters) out. NFC one-tap pairing gets a light into the app without any menu diving. Wired control comes through the built-in 5-pin XLR ports, which support DMX512 and RDM.
Other features
Active cooling means a fan, and fans mean noise. Godox offers four fan settings, including off, so you can trade output for silence when the mic is close. Each light also uses a Bowens mount, opening up soft boxes, Fresnel lenses and projection attachments.
What we think
Matching color across a three-light kit is usually where budget fixtures fall apart. Godox specced the same CRI, TLCI and CCT range across the whole line, so an LE200R working as a hair light should blend with an LE600R on key without much correction. The shared control layout helps too. Learn one, learn all three.
The integrated supply is the real quality-of-life win. Anyone who has hunted for a ballast in a tangle of cable at wrap knows the difference. The tradeoff is weight up top. An 11.5-pound LE600R wants a solid C-stand, not a light-duty aluminum one.
