DJI teases official reveal of the Osmo Pocket 4

For the past six months, the rumor mill about the successor to DJI’s super popular Osmo Pocket 3 has been in overdrive. Now the wait is almost over. DJI has posted three teaser videos on its Instagram account to announce the official reveal of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is coming on April 16, 2026.

What has DJI announced?

DJI first post on Instagram was a cryptic image of 1s and 0s. However, followers were quick to recognize it was a message written in binary. Once decoded, the image simply stated, “It’s coming.” Since then, DJI has shared three videos on Instagram which hint towards the features that the Osmo Pocket 4 will deliver.

The World In My Pocket

DJI’s first teaser video for the Osmo Pocket 4 was first shared on the @djiglobal and @osmo_global Instagram accounts. The video begins with an image of the device’s camera in shadow. It then moves through the camera’s lens to reveal the sensor inside. Finally, you see an image of a mountain appear across the sensor before the video fades to black. The words “The Word In My Pocket” then fade up with the time and date, “16 April 2026, 12 PM (GMT).” To avoid any doubt, the text of the post states, “Get ready for Osmo Pocket 4.”

Slow motion

DJI’s second teaser video for the Osmo Pocket 4 Pocket is all about slow motion and speed ramping. The video shows a woman in a pink dress moving through a field of pink tulips. There is also a shot with petals cascading down over her. All of the shots are in slow motion or ramp from regular speed to slow motion.

In addition, the text of the post states, “Some things are too pretty to happen at normal speed. Every petal. Every strand of hair catching the wind. Every step through spring.”

More storage

DJI released its third teaser video for the Osmo Pocket 4 only yesterday. The video is a stop motion animation of the camera approaching a tray. On the tray are five tiny plates each with a micro-SD card on. A pair of tweezers lifts one card up and it disappears as if being eaten.

The other cards also disappear before the plates are stacked with a tiny fork and spoon on top. Additionally, the text of the post reads, “DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is coming. More storage. More stories.”

What does it all mean?

DJI hasn’t confirmed any specifications for the Osmo Pocket 4. However, the online community has been quick to offer interpretations of the teaser videos. Some have theorized that the first video shows that the Osmo Pocket 4 will feature a new sensor. This is despite previous rumors that the camera would use the same sensor as its predecessor. It’s clear that the second video is highlighting the Osmo Pocket 4’s slow motion capabilities. As the Pocket 3 already gives you 120 frames per second (fps) in 4k and 240 fps in 1080 HD, this could also mean even higher frame rates. Finally, with the third video, users online have suggested that the Osmo Pocket 4 will have onboard storage, so you won’t need to use microSD cards.

What we think

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 was a hugely successful camera and is used by many content creators. As a result, users have been excited about the possible specifications of the camera’s successor for some time. DJI’s teaser videos have only whipped up the expectations for the new camera to an even greater level. Hopefully, the Osmo Pocket 4 will deliver new features to satisfy the public’s demand. Thankfully, we only have a few more days to wait to find out.

Pricing and availability

DJI will reveal officially reveal the Osmo Pocket 4 on April 16, 2026, at 12 PM GMT. That’s 8 AM EDT and 5 AM PDT.
