BenQ has announced its MOBIUZ EX480UZ 48″ 4K gaming monitor at CES 2023. Let’s take a look at this new gaming monitor.
BenQ EX480UZ: a monitor for gamers and enthusiast videographers
The BenQ EX480UZ 48″ 4K gaming monitor features a 3840 x 2160 resolution 4K UHD OLED display, making it great for gamers and enthusiast videographers. It comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 0.1 ms response time. Additionally, it has AMD FreeSync Premium technology that eliminates screen tearing and stuttering with compatible graphics cards.
BenQ EX480UZ’s color
Now, let’s talk about the monitor’s color. The EX480UZ’s 48″ OLED panel features a 135000:1 static contrast ratio and Delta <2 color accuracy, covering 98 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut. Plus, the monitor has HDR10 support, bringing in bright highlights and deep shadows. It also includes 450 nits of brightness and 178° viewing angles.
BenQ also includes its HDRi technology in the monitor. This technology automatically optimizes image color and clarity by saturating colors. Additionally, the monitor uses Light Tuner. This creates subtle light and shadow. At the same time, the Black eQualizer pulls out details in dark areas, while not blowing out highlights.
Connectivity
The BenQ EX480UZ features two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort input. There’s also a USB-C port, allowing you to transfer video, data and up to 90 W of power to compatible laptops. This monitor additionally has a dual USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 hub, allowing you to connect things like flash drives, wireless keyboards and mice. Lastly, the monitor has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ 48″ 4K gaming monitor isn’t out yet, but it will be available for pre-order soon. The monitor runs with a price tag of $1,799.
